UNHURRIED MINDS

Our time is short. Let’s not hurry.

  • Founder

Blending clear-headed science with empathy and real-world experience.

We all go through seasons when we can benefit from a trusted ally to witness the work we are already doing - someone to listen, to ask important questions, and to walk with us through uncertainty and change. My work bridges a gap between mental health, professional coaching, and spiritual practice. Many of the people I work with are rethinking the beliefs and stories they have inherited. Others are transitioning into a new season of life - career changes, relationship changes, location changes.

I have a special affinity for the in-between seasons of life, the ones we call adolescence...and there are two: one emerges around age thirteen and the other a few decades later.

  • “Sean has a creative and nimble mind to complement his caring and generous heart. I worked with Sean for 10 years and was continually impressed with his insights and intuition about faith and how it is woven into our daily lives and struggles. He also has an amazing perspective on the behaviors and culture of different generations.”

  • “Sean is a strategic thinker whose background with young people gives him great instincts about how to communicate authentically and stay focused on key priorities, which are difficult in any company, but especially a start up.”

  • “Sean is one of the most creative, imaginative, entrepreneurial, and relational leaders I have ever encountered. His mind is quick, his heart is open, and his hands are eager to help anyone who asks. He has few peers as a communicator.”

  • ”Sean's best contribution to the local church has been his credibility and a modern, artistic mind. Sean is someone who has seen a lot and understands the challenge of the 21st century. If the Christian Church is going to survive and not become a parody of itself, it will be because of people like Sean Witty.”

  • “His intellectual capacities speak for themselves. He has one of the most solid understandings of the developmental issues of children and young people of any leader I have ever met.”

  • “Sean has a rare gift for listening and an even rarer gift for asking the right questions at the right time. He brings compassion and humility together with a sharp and incisive intellect.”

  • “Sean helped me navigate a challenging season of life while I was starting multiple businesses. He offered a rare opportunity for me to be open & honest in a way I couldn't elsewhere. I trust him implicitly.”

  • “Sean has an amazing ability to meet people where they are at. It is hard to overestimate the impact he had in my life by providing positive support, contagious energy and a disarming sense of humor. He was a counselor for me at a time I was learning about myself and working through my life purpose. This was a pivotal point in my life I will never forget.”

  • “Sean helped to develop a positive clinical space...working with some of our most at-risk and high-safety-concerned clients and has been able to make consistent, positive, and productive change with them....he has truly become a valued and appreciated member of Uncornered."
